9 LESSONS IN ACTION

You are invited to use a variety of teaching resources to bring to life the 9 Lessons for Changing the World. These resources are accessible by clicking the links on this page and below. Use specific video segments and sections of the Learning Guide to customize presentations for specific audiences, review key concepts, or research the history of a specific disease.

Click the “Topic Area and Public Health Competencies List” button to select a specific public health expert and access stories and lessons in which they are featured. Search for key public health competencies to select program segments that directly address the searched competency and provide a basis for learning.

The 9 Lessons Checklist can be used for new project development. It can also be included when writing grants to ensure that your proposal addresses recognized critical components.

The smallpox case study, developed by The Global Health Delivery Project at Harvard, can be used in conjunction with the 9 Lessons to dive deep into the history of smallpox and the public health response that led to eradication of the disease.
