TEPHINET Launch and Pilot

Piloting and Premiering at Key Global Scientific Conference

The Becoming Better Ancestors team officially launched the Becoming Better Ancestors project during TEPHINET's 11th Global Scientific Conference in Panama City, Panama in pilot form. It was a fantastic venue to screen the first segments and the response from the global health community was overwhelmingly positive. There is a sincere demand around the world for larger frameworks to teach the fundamental, philosophical and ethical ideals in public health, so that we can all continue to address the serious threats facing humanity reliably and consistently.

Through rich one-on-one interviews and discussions, plus a survey for those who screened segments, the Becoming Better Ancestors team was able to harness this valuable, global feedback and is leveraging these critical insights as the rollout officially begins.

Becoming Better Ancestors' Project Director, Lisa Hayes, Dr. Patrick O'Carroll of the Task Force for Global Health, Dr. Cynthia Semá Baltazar, Program Director for the Mozambique Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP) and Executive Producer, Brian Tolleson engaged in an inspiring conversation with the TEPHINET audience of public health leaders from across the globe.
